Pass Plus:

Statistics prove that the risk of having an accident is highest during the first years of driving after passing the driving test. This is why the Government launched the Pass Plus programme. Backed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and major motor insurance companies, it is designed to help new drivers gain more experience and become better equipped for the demands of modern driving. The course needs to be taken within twelve months of passing your driving test to qualify for the insurance benefits.

The PASS PLUS course is a six-hour module, which will include motorway, bad weather, city and rural driving. After completion you may be able to obtain a discount from many insurance companies, subject to your personal circumstances. This course has proved popular because the saving on insurance is far greater than the cost of the course.

Theory & Practical Test:

Our driving instructors prepare you for the theory test which every learner needs to pass. You'll also receive valuable tips and information. A multiple-choice test comprising 50 multiple-choice questions covering aspects of the Highway Code. The pass mark is 43. A hazard perception test consisting of a series of video clips of actual road hazards that need to be identified. The pass mark is 44.

The Driving Standards Agency recommends that most learners take at least 45 hours of professional tuition lessons and at least 20 hours with friends and family. The average number of lessons is currently 35 hours. As all learners are different, some will pass more quickly than others. Your driving test will start with an eyesight check and some vehicle safety questions. The driving part of your test will last about 40 minutes. Throughout the test your examiner will be looking for an overall safe standard of driving, including when you are carrying out the set exercises. You can make up to 15 driving faults and still pass the test (16 or more results in failure). However, if you commit one serious or dangerous fault you will fail the test.

Automatic Driving Lessons:

In todays world of automation not everyone is comfortable with learning to drive in manual car. For many of us automatic driving lessons are better option. It could be a case where you find yourself not comfortable drivng manual car or may be a disability which makes you uncomfortable while changing gears. If you find yourself in these kind of situations it is better to go with automatic driving test. In manual cars you will have clutch, brake and accelorator. You will have to change gear yourself whereas in automatic cars you have only brake and accelerator and no clutch.

As car takes care of changing gears for you with speed, this makes learning to drive much easier and you will be more confident to reach the test standards in less number of driving lessons. Before choosing automatic driving lessons you also need to understand that once you have passed driving test with automatic license, it does not permit you to drive manual car.
