Our aim is to provide all your training needs - whether you wish to become an ADI or to enhance your current ADI skills. Farnworth School of Motoring is perhaps the oldest in the Bolton area. It was founded in 1945 by Mr. James B. Howard in response to changes in the law and the demand for driver training. In 1975, with the ever increasing need for driving instructors, Farnworth SOM began specializing in ADI work. Driving Instructor Training | Driving Instructor Re-Training | Cardington Special Driving Test | Advanced Driving (DIAmond Advanced Test) | Learner Tuition and Pass Plus. Our Instructor Re-Training services include the important ADI Standards Check. The training is directed by Peter W. Howard Dip DI (son of James B.Howard), an A Grade driving instructor who holds the City & Guilds Teaching Certificate, has passed the Diploma in Driving Instruction and has gained the coveted DIAmond Advanced Instructor/Examiner qualification.
